Bollywood Fever: Veteran wide receiver Randall Cobb shared the harrowing news that he and his family are lucky to be alive after surviving a devastating house fire that engulfed their Nashville home.
The NFL star took to social media on Wednesday to share several photos and videos of the extensive damage caused by the fire, which started due to a Tesla charger in their garage.
“First and foremost, we are all safe and healthy,” Cobb captioned his Instagram post. “We got out of the house, and I was able to go back in and get our dog, Louie.”
Cobb and his wife, Aiyda, shared images of the extensive damage, including burned cars and severe fire damage to their garage. Randall even thought the blaze was so dire that his Mercedes G Wagon was going to explode.
“I can’t get the image of the brave firefighter getting into position out of my head; he didn’t even have water to shoot yet. I truly thought the cars were going to explode and that we would lose him to this tragedy. He is a true hero,” Cobb wrote.
Despite the damage, Cobb emphasized the importance of family health and safety. “Unfortunately, we don’t know how much, if anything, will be salvageable, but this has been a reminder that nothing is more important than the health of our family.”
He expressed gratitude for the support from their Nashville community and close friends who provided temporary shelter and support during this challenging time.
The 33-year-old wide receiver is currently a free agent after an underwhelming season with the New York Jets. He played in eleven games but only caught five passes for 39 yards and one touchdown.
Cobb’s experience serves as a poignant reminder of the unpredictability of life and the value of family and community support during times of crisis.
