Peter Dinklage Eager for Wider Release of “The Toxic Avenger” Reboot Following Fantastic Fest Success
Peter Dinklage expresses pride in “The Toxic Avenger” reboot, hoping for a broader release after its success at Fantastic Fest. The film, featuring a stellar cast, remains without a release date.
Bollywood Fever: Peter Dinklage is eagerly anticipating the wider release of his The Toxic Avenger reboot, which has garnered significant acclaim but has yet to reach a broader audience.
The Emmy-winning actor recently shared his hopes for the film to gain more visibility after its successful debut at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, last year.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Dinklage was asked about the potential for a wide release of the horror-comedy, which he proudly acknowledged was “a really big hit” at the festival.

However, he admitted that as he is not a producer on the film, he is uncertain about its release plans. “I do want it to get out there into the world because it was a really big hit at Fantastic Fest in Austin,” Dinklage said.
He also praised the film’s writer and director, Macon Blair, calling him “incredible” and one of his “favorite people and favorite artists.”
Dinklage stars as Winston Gooze in this reimagining of the 1984 cult classic.
His character, a janitor denied treatment for a terminal illness by his employer, falls into toxic waste and transforms into the Toxic Avenger, a mutant hero determined to right society’s wrongs.
The film received an impressive 92 percent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes from 25 reviews following its global premiere in September 2023.
Despite the positive reception, The Toxic Avenger reboot still lacks an official release date. The film’s star-studded cast also includes Jacob Tremblay, Taylour Paige, Elijah Wood, and Kevin Bacon.
In addition to the film, fans of the franchise can look forward to a new The Toxic Avenger comic series, which is set to debut on October 9 from indie publisher AHOY Comics.
The five-issue series, created by Matt Bors and Fred Harper, promises to expand the universe of the beloved cult classic.
As Dinklage waits for the film to “have its day in the toxic sun,” audiences are eager to see this fresh take on a fan-favorite character finally hit the big screen.
