Yungeen Ace, real name Keyanta Bullard, faces firearms charges following an early Monday arrest. This development comes just after the Florida rapper mourned his older brother’s death on Instagram and released his latest album, ‘Forgotten Star’.
XXL revealed that Yungeen Ace, whose real name is Keyanta Bullard, was arrested by Jacksonville police at around 1:30 am on Monday, April 15. He was taken to Duval County Jail and faces charges of possessing a firearm, weapon, or ammunition as a convicted felon. The Florida rapper appeared in court for the first time on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 pm and remains in custody. The specific circumstances of his arrest are still not disclosed.

The news of Ace’s arrest followed his Instagram post from the previous day, where he mourned the death of his older brother, writing, “Damn big bro, you really f**ked mama up wit dis. Both my [broken heart emoji] gone.”
The cause of his brother’s death has not been detailed; however, Ace’s younger brother, Trevon Bullard, was a victim of a fatal drive-by shooting in 2019 that also claimed two other lives in their native Jacksonville. Ace himself was critically injured in the incident, surviving eight gunshot wounds.
This arrest occurs shortly after Yungeen Ace released his newest album, Forgotten Star, on March 29. The album, which features 15 tracks without any guest appearances, followed his 2022 release, Survivor of the Trenches, which included collaborations with artists like SleazyWorld Go, EST Gee, Real Boston Richey, and Rob49, among others.
Additionally, just days before his arrest, on Saturday, April 13, Yungeen Ace had released the music video for his track “Shots Fired.”
