Russian Passenger Jet Crashes, Killing Three Crew Members

A Russian Sukhoi Superjet operated by Gazprom Avia crashed in the Moscow region, killing all three crew members onboard. Investigations are underway.

Bollywood Fever: A Russian passenger jet crashed on Friday while flying empty, killing its crew of three, officials reported. The Sukhoi Superjet went down in the Moscow region, according to Russian emergency officials.

Authorities confirmed that the plane belonged to Gazprom Avia, a carrier owned by the Russian state-controlled natural gas giant Gazprom. The aircraft was en route to Moscow’s Vnukovo airport following repairs when the crash occurred.

The Investigative Committee, Russia’s top state criminal investigation agency, has launched a probe into the crash to determine the cause.
