Taylor Swift Heads to Australia Instead of Kansas City Chiefs Parade
No Chiefs Super Bowl Parade for Taylor Swift This Year
Australian media outlets have reported that Taylor Swift, Grammy winner and partner of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is flying from Los Angeles to Hawaii before heading to Melbourne to resume her Eras Tour.
The “Midnights” singer is set to perform sold-out shows in Melbourne on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday before continuing the tour in Sydney on Feb. 22 for four shows, followed by Singapore on March 2.
“Taylor Swift is officially en route to Melbourne,” tweeted Melbourne TV station 10 News First on Tuesday evening. “A private jet, believed to be carrying Swift, departed LAX earlier this morning en route to Hawaii, with flight logs showing the plane is due to land in Melbourne shortly after midnight tonight.”
While Swift’s camp or the jet’s operating company have not confirmed her presence onboard, it’s the same aircraft that reportedly transported Swift from Tokyo to the United States in time for Monday’s Super Bowl.
Australian journalist Anthony Lucas tracked Swift’s plane and tweeted her whereabouts, confirming her journey.
“Swift’s attempts to prevent her private plane from being tracked have been unsuccessful so far, and thousands are tuning in to watch its journey from Los Angeles to Melbourne,” reported Australian TV outlet The Project on Tuesday night.
According to the live flight tracker website FlightRadar24, Swift is expected to land in Melbourne at 12:31 a.m. Thursday, one day before her scheduled performance.
More than 4 million fans attempted to secure tickets to her Australian shows.
