Virgin Australia Unveils Massive Flight Sale with Fares Starting at $45

Virgin Australia announces a two-day sale with over 300,000 discounted domestic fares, including flights starting at $45. Book now for travel between July 1 and August 31.

Virgin Australia has just unveiled one of its “best-value deals of the year.”

For the next two days, or until sold out, over 300,000 domestic fares will be available at discounted prices.

Flights between Sydney and Byron Bay start at just $45. Sydneysiders can also find flights to the Gold Coast from $65 and the Sunshine Coast from $69. The sale fares apply in both directions.

Travelers in Australia can book flights from Melbourne and Sydney to Perth starting at $199, and the same price applies for flights from Perth to eastern cities.

Flights to Cairns are offered at $95 from Brisbane, $115 from Sydney, and $165 from Perth.

These sale fares are available now for travel between July 1 and August 31, including the July school holiday period.

Libby Minogue, a Virgin Australia executive, stated, “We hope the sale will allow even more Australians to take a break with their families over the school holidays.”

The sale, featuring destinations like Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Perth, Cairns, Adelaide, Hobart, and more, ends at midnight AEST on Saturday, June 8. Minogue emphasized the importance of booking quickly to avoid missing out on these deals, particularly during the school holiday period.

Additional discounted routes include Melbourne-Gold Coast from $79, Melbourne-Hobart from $79, Sydney-Brisbane from $79, Melbourne-Adelaide from $85, Sydney-Melbourne from $89, Brisbane-Hamilton Island from $109, Adelaide-Gold Coast from $109, and Adelaide-Darwin from $139. All these fares are one-way Economy Lite, which includes carry-on baggage with an extra charge for checked luggage.

Virgin Australia has another sale this week to celebrate the launch of new services between Melbourne and Uluru, and Brisbane and Uluru. The Uluru sale features fares starting at $119 one-way, available until midnight Saturday.

CEO Jayne Hrdlicka described the sale as offering “incredible value.” She highlighted that through partnerships with airlines such as Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and United Airlines, Uluru will now be connected to over 600 cities worldwide, providing a new gateway for international tourists to explore Australia’s iconic Red Centre. The new flights are launched in collaboration with the Northern Territory Government and Voyages Indigenous Tourism, operators of Ayers Rock Resort.
