Wendy Williams Diagnosed with Aphasia and Dementia
BollywoodFever, February 22: Wendy Williams has recently received a diagnosis of aphasia and dementia, conditions similar to those experienced by Bruce Willis.
The announcement was made by her care team on Wednesday through a press release aimed at addressing rumors and speculation surrounding her health.
While Williams has previously disclosed her struggles with Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema, concerns arose over moments where she exhibited confusion or erratic behavior.
Her care team revealed that after undergoing medical tests in 2023, Williams was officially diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
Acknowledging the importance of her current care team and the specialists at Weill Cornell Medicine, Williams’ team emphasized that the diagnoses have enabled her to receive the necessary medical attention.
The disclosure aims to raise awareness of Williams’ conditions while also shielding her from potentially harmful gossip, particularly with the upcoming release of a new Lifetime documentary about her.
Despite the challenges posed by her diagnoses, Williams remains capable of many activities and retains her trademark sense of humor. Her care team assures that she is receiving the support she needs and appreciates the outpouring of kind thoughts and well wishes.
However, there seems to be a disconnect between Williams’ care team and some family members who have been speaking to the media, expressing concerns about her inner circle.
