According to the local police chief, P.K. Johnson, in an interview with The Daily Mail, Kelley’s actions included displaying a sign that stated “Ride for a Ride” while inappropriately dressed at a busy intersection. “She was not appropriately dressed,” Johnson explained. “She didn’t have the things covered that needed to be covered. And she was holding the ‘Ride for a Ride’ sign while she was in that state and with drivers going by, displaying herself.”

Johnson also noted Kelley’s demeanor during the incident, saying, “she was argumentative and refused to cooperate in any way with officers.”

The 27-year-old mother of a young daughter is scheduled for her first court appearance on April 25. She was initially arrested for allegedly exposing herself near the intersection of Interstate 65 and Highway 14 in Millbrook, Ala.

Currently, there is no attorney listed for Kelley to provide a comment on her behalf.

Kelley and her brother Elijah Judd, 29, are the children of country music star Wynonna and her ex-husband Arch Kelley III, who divorced in 1998. While Wynonna has not publicly addressed her daughter’s latest charges, she has spoken openly about their relationship in the past, acknowledging Grace’s straightforwardness. “Gracie will be the first one to say, ‘Mom, that’s not exactly how it happened,'” Wynonna shared with People in 2022.

Reflecting on her daughter’s resilience, Wynonna has expressed admiration for Grace’s strength, even suggesting that she might be “the strongest Judd woman in our ‘herstory,'” during an interview on The Pursuit! with John Rich in February 2020. “She’s healthier than I was at 23,” Wynonna said, acknowledging the different paths they’ve taken.
