Ye Mistakenly Punches Twin Brother of Alleged Assailant in Defense of Wife Bianca Censori
In an unexpected turn of events, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, reportedly punched the wrong person while attempting to defend his wife, Bianca Censori. According to a TMZ report from Saturday (April 20), the incident occurred after Censori was allegedly assaulted by one of the Houston twins, well-known L.A. restaurateurs, during an event in Los Angeles.
The confusion arose when Ye confronted the man he believed had “grabbed” his wife, only to mistakenly strike his twin brother. The identities of the twins, Mark and Jonnie Houston, were confirmed by TMZ, though it remains unclear who exactly was the aggressor and who was the unintended victim of Ye’s punch. The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the matter.
Further complicating the incident, Yeezy’s chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, issued a statement to XXL magazine, insisting that the term “grabbed” was an understatement. “Bianca was physically assaulted. The assailant didn’t merely collide into her. He put his hands under her dress, directly on her body, he grabbed her waist, he spun her around, and then he blew her kisses. She was battered and sexually assaulted,” the statement explained.
The alleged assault took place last Wednesday (April 17) in the lobby of the Chateau Marmont. Witnesses reported that a man accidentally bumped into Censori and then proceeded to join friends outside. It was there that Ye allegedly approached and punched the man, thinking he was confronting the assailant. Sources indicated that Ye departed the scene before police arrived. The Grammy Award-winning artist is now the subject of a battery investigation, and authorities are seeking to speak with him regarding the incident.
