On a promotional tour in Milan, Italy, for her new movie “Challengers” on Sunday, April 14, the 27-year-old actress made a striking appearance in a vintage white dress that paid homage to a style legend.
The elegant white halter-neck dress with a collar that Zendaya chose for the occasion is a vintage Ralph Lauren creation, first worn by supermodel Cindy Crawford back in 1991.
Complementing the timeless dress, Zendaya opted for classic white heels, understated jewelry, and showcased her new blonde hair in a full, voluminous style.
Cindy Crawford, now 58, famously sported the dress with a similar voluminous hairstyle enhanced with caramel highlights back in the ’90s.
Crawford shared her approval on social media, posting on Instagram Story to praise Zendaya’s rendition of the iconic look. In her post, which was featured in Page Six, Crawford celebrated Zendaya for “serving it up” in the dress. This phrase cleverly referenced Zendaya’s role in “Challengers,” where she portrays Tashi Donaldson, a former tennis prodigy turned coach. The film also features Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, who play her husband and former boyfriend.
Further expressing her admiration, Crawford highlighted in her Instagram Story that the white mini dress, tailored perfectly to fit Zendaya, remains one of her all-time favorite pieces from Ralph Lauren’s collection.
