Josh Hart Reflects on New Orleans Pelicans Stint: “No One Excited to Be Traded There
Former New Orleans Pelicans player Josh Hart shares candid thoughts on his time with the team, expressing that being traded to New Orleans isn’t a dream destination for players.
Bollywood Fever: Josh Hart, who spent over two seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans, recently opened up about his time with the team, making it clear that it wasn’t an experience he particularly enjoyed.
In a candid conversation on the Roommates Show with his New York Knicks teammate Jalen Brunson, Hart took a swipe at his former team, suggesting that being traded to the Pelicans isn’t exactly a player’s dream.
“I don’t think you’ll ever hear someone say they were excited to be traded to New Orleans,” Hart remarked, reflecting on his own experience after being sent to the Pelicans as part of the trade that brought Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers.

During his tenure with the Pelicans, Hart averaged nearly 11 points, seven rebounds, and a steal per game, while shooting 45 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the arc.
Despite his solid performance, it’s clear that the veteran wing didn’t find his time in New Orleans particularly fulfilling.
Now with the New York Knicks, Hart seems to have found a better fit. He’s become an integral part of the team, embracing whatever role is needed to help the Knicks achieve success.
As the Knicks aim to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the NBA, Hart appears ready and eager to contribute in any way possible.
