BollywoodFever: Alabama’s thrilling 41-34 win against Georgia on Saturday was already destined to have major implications, but the spotlight was on whether Alabama’s standout freshmen could deliver in one of the biggest games of their young careers. And deliver, they did.

Ryan Williams and Zabien Brown

Charlie Power of On3 updated his list of the top standout freshmen from Week 5, and both Ryan Williams and Zabien Brown were ranked in the Top 5. Ryan Williams had a career-defining game, amassing 177 yards, including a game-sealing 75-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Jalen Milroe. Williams was a constant threat to Georgia’s secondary, as he has been to every opponent this season, and his clutch play with just over two minutes left ensured Alabama’s victory.

Zabien Brown also played a pivotal role in securing the win for the Tide. With just under two minutes left, Georgia’s quarterback Carson Beck led the Bulldogs on an 11-play drive that looked likely to tie the game. However, on a first-down pass to the end zone, Brown intercepted Beck, sealing the victory for Alabama.

The performances of these two freshmen were instrumental in keeping Alabama undefeated and propelling them to the No. 1 spot in the latest AP Poll.
