Destiny 2’s Inverted Spire Strike to Receive Major Overhaul in Episode Revenant
Destiny 2’s Inverted Spire Strike is getting revamped in Episode Revenant, launching October 8, with new mechanics, enemies, and narrative changes. Learn more about what’s coming.
BollywoodFever: The long-standing Destiny 2 Strike, The Inverted Spire, is set for a major update when Episode Revenant launches on October 8. Since its introduction in 2017, the Strike has remained largely untouched, but Bungie confirmed on October 3 that the mission will receive a “Vex-geance” facelift, with a fresh narrative focused on the Vex as the main adversaries.

Bungie teased that players should expect new defenses and enemy units, including the challenging Wyverns, inspired by Choir of One. While specific mechanical changes are being kept under wraps, the revamp promises to make the encounter more difficult and modernized to match current gameplay standards.
This update follows Bungie’s trend of refreshing older Strikes, such as Lake of Shadows and Arms Dealer, which saw mechanical overhauls in 2023, although they didn’t introduce new loot. Similar pacing and encounter adjustments are expected for The Inverted Spire, borrowing from previous expansions like Witch Queen’s Vow of the Disciple Raid.
Fans can also look forward to Episode Revenant’s content-rich offering, including a new Dungeon, Vesper’s Host, launching October 11, with a World First race to follow.
