Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” Star Monica Garcia Announces Fifth Pregnancy
Monica Garcia from “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” reveals her unexpected pregnancy during a podcast interview. She discusses her surprise, the father’s reaction, and her feelings about expanding her family again.
On Thursday, “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star announced she is expecting her fifth child.

During her appearance on Nick Viall’s “, Garcia shared the surprising news that she is seven weeks pregnant, following her brief tenure on the Bravo reality show. “I literally just found out. …I have not told one f–king person except for my best friend,” she disclosed. Garcia discovered her pregnancy unexpectedly during a visit to urgent care for an unrelated issue, where a doctor confirmed her condition.
While she did not reveal the identity of the child’s father, Garcia expressed her astonishment, noting she was using birth control at the time. “I [was] like, ‘I’m 39! Like, there’s no way. I’m on birth control,'” she explained. “By all means, I should not be pregnant.”
The news was initially a “shock” to Garcia and her 29-year-old boyfriend, a manager at Utah’s Wasatch Excursions, whom she met while filming her season of RHOSLC. “That is where Heather [Gay] and I shot our snowmobiling scene,” she mentioned, adding that they started talking a few weeks after that. Despite the initial surprise, Garcia noted, “he’s been incredible.”
Although excited, Garcia also acknowledged her apprehensions about motherhood at this stage in her life. “I thought I was done [having kids],” she admitted. “I think being so much older and having a baby is, like, really freaking me out. Also my youngest is 6. I thought I was done. It’s like, it’s so much.”
Garcia, who has four children—Bri, 18; Jaidyn, 13; West, 7; and Kendall, 6—with ex-husband Mike Fowler, gained significant attention in RHOSLC season 4 but will not be returning for the next season. This decision followed her involvement with the Instagram troll account Reality Von Tease, which had targeted her castmates, creating divisions within the group.
Despite her exit, producers Lori Gordon and Lisa Shannon have not ruled out a future return for Garcia to the series. “The women just need a cooling off period, and I think it’s just too soon,” Gordon stated to Variety. “They’ve articulated it. It’s too soon for them to reenter into a friendship—a trusting friendship. Not enough time has passed.” Shannon added, “We’re starting to film relatively soon, and I think that everyone needs a minute,” also hinting, “You never know,” about Garcia’s possible comeback. “Never say never,” Gordon reiterated.
