Amazon to Invest $9 Billion in Expanding Cloud Infrastructure in Singapore
Amazon.com Inc. intends to invest $9 billion in expanding its cloud computing infrastructure in Singapore, joining other major tech companies in bolstering their presence in Southeast Asia.
The investment, scheduled over the next four years, represents a doubling of Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) investment in Singapore. This move aims to meet the increasing demand for cloud services from customers and to expedite the adoption of artificial intelligence, the company announced on Tuesday.
