Angel Reese is gearing up for the WNBA Draft this Monday, as highlighted by one of her popular Instagram posts where she is dressed in a see-through leotard. The post, which has garnered over 443,550 likes, showcases a series of full-body photos that highlight her athletic physique and the outfit worn under the leotard.
Known for her bold fashion statements, Reese captioned the post with, “I remind you every time why it will always be ME.” The comments section was flooded with fire emojis and numerous messages of support, celebrating her potential as a future WBNA star.
Reese has affectionately been dubbed “Bayou Barbie” by her fans, a nickname that Vogue describes as “a nod to her signature long lashes, cascading hairstyles, bold manicures, and her unapologetic love of fashion.”
The LSU standout recently announced her departure from the NCAA’s former champions, sparking some controversy over her unconventional method of announcing her draft decision. “Of course, I like to do everything big, I didn’t want anything to be basic,” Reese told Vogue, revealing that she chose to make her announcement during a fashion shoot, taking inspiration from Serena Williams.
In an interview with Vogue, Reese reflected on her collegiate achievements and her future aspirations. “I’ve done everything I wanted to in college,” she stated on April 3rd, 2024. “I’ve won a national championship, I’ve gotten [Southeastern Conference] Player of the Year, I’ve been an All-American. My ultimate goal is to be a pro—and to be one of the greatest basketball players to play, ever. I feel like I’m ready.”
