At the Olivier Awards, “Ted Lasso” star Hannah Waddingham confronted a photographer who asked her to “show leg,” highlighting the inappropriate comment during the event. The ceremony also celebrated wins for Sarah Snook and Nicole Scherzinger.
At the Olivier Awards in London, Hannah Waddingham, the Emmy-winning star of “Ted Lasso,” addressed inappropriate behavior from a photographer who asked her to “show leg” while she posed on the steps of the Royal Albert Hall.
A fan-captured video reveals Waddingham confronting the photographer, expressing her disapproval by stating, “Oh my God, you’d never say that to a man,” and warning, “Don’t be a dick otherwise I’ll move off. Don’t say ‘show me leg.’ No.”
After the incident, Waddingham visibly shook her head in dismay and continued to interact with the photographer, gesturing with her finger as she walked away.
The evening continued with notable achievements being celebrated, including “Succession” star Sarah Snook winning the Best Actress award for her role in the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of “The Picture of Dorian Gray.” Nicole Scherzinger also won Best Actress in a Musical for her performance as Norma Desmond in the revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Sunset Boulevard.”
Waddingham, who also hosted the previous year’s Olivier Awards, opened the ceremony with a performance alongside singer and pianist Joe Stilgoe. She is set to appear in upcoming films “The Fall Guy” and “Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2.”
