Buffalo Bills rookie Keon Coleman shines in his NFL debut, catching four passes for 51 yards in a 34-28 win. Can he fill the shoes of All-Pro Stefon Diggs?
Bollywood Fever: Few NFL wide receivers face more pressure this season than Buffalo Bills second-round rookie Keon Coleman.
Tasked with helping Bills fans move on from All-Pro Stefon Diggs—who was traded to the Houston Texans during the offseason—Coleman made a strong first impression in his NFL debut.
The Florida State product caught four passes for 51 yards in the Bills’ 34-28 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Targeted a team-high five times, Coleman consistently demonstrated his ability to be a reliable, every-down player—a role Buffalo hoped he could fill when they selected him in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
“He’s going to be an exciting player for us,” Bills quarterback Josh Allen said before the game. “He’s got a different skill set than maybe what I’m used to… His ability to go jump and catch back shoulder balls, be strong at the point of the catch. He takes blocking in the run game with a lot of pride.”
Though it’s early in his career, Coleman has already shown flashes of the talent and versatility that the Bills were hoping for when they drafted him.
As the season progresses, fans will be eager to see if Coleman can continue to live up to the high expectations placed upon him in Buffalo’s offense.
