Lil Baby’s planned music video in Atlanta erupted in chaos after a barrage of gunshots filled the air, making it sound like a war zone.
The footage shows dozens of crew members and people setting up filming equipment on Tuesday afternoon when suddenly, what sounds like a semi-automatic weapon fires continuously for about six seconds.
The cameraman instinctively ducks for cover, causing the video to become shaky as he points the lens towards the ground. However, the background conversation provides some context to the unfolding situation.
A group of men, who were apparently pretending to film their own music video or content nearby, fired shots from a white car before speeding away.
Someone off-camera can be heard praising the gunmen for their deception, saying they “played it smooth.”
More gunshots are heard shortly after the initial shooting, but someone advises a man to put his firearm away, noting that the assailants were already gone, and he was wasting bullets shooting at no one.
APD sources report they responded to shots fired in the shopping district of Verbena Street in NW ATL, finding a 24-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the arm and a 27-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the back.
Police also located a 23-year-old male who had transported himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the neck.
All of the victims reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and Lil Baby was unharmed.
Chasity Roman of Slapping Tacos ATL, a local business owner, captured footage of the 4PF rapper arriving on the scene shortly before the chaos ensued.
Indie blogger Dre Hova documented the aftermath, showing Lil Baby apparently yelling for his team to move, and at least one SUV appeared to have its window shot out.
