Bollywoodfever, March 11: At the Oscars, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito Delight with “Twins” Reunion, Win Crowd with Batman Humor
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito brought a dose of nostalgia to the Oscars with a “Twins” reunion, presenting awards for best visual effects to “Godzilla Minus One” and best film editing to “Oppenheimer.” However, it was their playful banter about Batman that truly captured the audience’s attention.
“Arnold and I are presenting tonight together for a very obvious reason,” DeVito remarked.
“We’ve both tried to kill Batman!” Schwarzenegger announced, earning applause.

DeVito reminisced about his role as the Penguin in “Batman Returns,” clashing with Michael Keaton’s Batman and Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman, while Schwarzenegger recalled his battle against George Clooney’s Batman as Mr. Freeze in “Batman and Robin.”
Reflecting on their defeats, Schwarzenegger mentioned, “He used my one weakness against me,” referring to Mr. Freeze’s love for his late wife. DeVito humorously added, “Oh.
He threw me out a window!” and pointed out Keaton in the audience, leading to playful threats for a post-Governor’s Ball confrontation.
The reunion was not just a throwback to their villainous roles but also a nod to Keaton’s recent return as Batman in “The Flash.”
Director Andy Muschietti shared a touching moment from the set, highlighting Keaton’s emotional connection to the iconic role.
The Oscars night was made memorable with Schwarzenegger and DeVito’s camaraderie, blending humor, nostalgia, and a hint of superhero rivalry.
