Megan Fox On Chelsea Blackwell I don’t think she deserved that, I think people went way too hard

Megan Fox recently shared her thoughts with E! News about the attention Chelsea Blackwell, a contestant from season 6 of “Love is Blind,” has been receiving due to comparisons to Fox herself.

“I didn’t watch it, but I think in general, no one deserves to get bullied,” Fox stated. “I don’t think she deserved that. I think people went way too hard.” Despite not being a regular TV viewer, Fox mentioned that this topic has led numerous people, including celebrities at Oscar parties, to ask her if she watches the show. “But I’ve had a lot of people text me and stop me,” she added. “Even other celebrities at like Oscar parties were like, ‘Do you watch Love is Blind?’ And I was like, ‘No, but I know what you’re talking about.’”

Fox, having seen a picture of Blackwell, acknowledged their resemblance. “A hundred thousand percent, people have told her, ‘You kind of look like Megan Fox,’” she explained. “So I believe she’s telling the truth and I hope she still has that sparkle in her eye. I hope the world didn’t steal it from her.”

Reflecting on her own experiences, Fox expressed empathy for Blackwell: “Mine died long ago from being bullied for 20 years. So I hope that didn’t happen to her. Best wishes and blessings.”

The discussion of likeness began when Blackwell mentioned on the show that she’s often told she looks like Fox, specifically because of her dark hair and blue eyes. This comment sparked a viral conversation online about the comparison, which some viewers disagreed with.

Amid the backlash, Jimmy Presnell, another contestant, defended Blackwell, attributing the attention to his reaction during the show. “Chelsea is getting a ton of heat, and I should take blame for the heat because it was my reaction that got all the clicks,” he said to Us Weekly. He clarified, “To be fair, that woman didn’t say, I look like Megan Fox. She said, ‘People tell me.’ But I heard that and I was so excited. So yeah, maybe my bad. She’s getting a lot of heat and she doesn’t deserve it. She’s an amazing person and I will shield her from all that s—t if I need to.”

Blackwell herself reflected on the incident, acknowledging the mixed feelings she had about Presnell’s role in the situation and the unexpected scale of the reaction: “I want to say yes, [I do blame him]. I want to say no. I said it, but I think the whole point of why it blew up so big is because the whole ‘she lied’ thing,” she told Us. “It was such a silly, goofy conversation that him and I had. I didn’t even think or remember saying it. So the fact that it’s blown up to proportions of this magnitude is mind-blowing.”
