BollywoodFever: Helen Flanagan has revealed her surprising romance with Robbie Talbot, which came about despite her intentions to embrace a year of single life.
The Celebs Go Dating star told OK! magazine that she wasn’t looking for love when Robbie entered her life. “I thought, ‘I’ve never really been single, so I’m gonna work on being single this year and try and be on my own.’ And then I met him!” she confessed.
The 34-year-old actress was charmed by Robbie after he approached her in a local eatery, recognising her from her TV appearances.
Helen admired his confidence, sharing, “I’ve never met anyone like him. He’s not only a lovely man, but he’s really, really funny. And he had the balls to chat me up!”
Robbie acknowledged that while they were not serious when Helen signed up for Celebs Go Dating, they stayed in touch, and their relationship deepened.
Helen admitted that filming the show became challenging as she realized she was falling for Robbie.
Despite the challenges, Helen said the experience was fun, even bringing Robbie on the show, much to the delight of fans and the show’s host, Anna Williamson.
