Jax Taylor opens up about his rekindled friendship with Tom Sandoval following his divorce from Brittany Cartwright. Despite their rocky past, Taylor now calls Sandoval his “best friend.”
BollywoodFever: Jax Taylor recently revealed that his former Vanderpump Rules co-star Tom Sandoval has been a significant source of support during his ongoing divorce from Brittany Cartwright.
On the latest episode of Taylor’s podcast When Reality Hits, the 45-year-old shared that Sandoval reached out to him during a challenging time, particularly after Taylor entered an inpatient rehab facility in July to focus on his mental health.
“I was shocked because I [hadn’t] heard from Tom in a long time,” Taylor explained. “Now I probably talk to Tom three or four times a week.”
Taylor and Sandoval’s relationship was infamously tumultuous on Vanderpump Rules, with Taylor even heavily criticizing Sandoval following his affair with Ariana Madix’s friend, Raquel Leviss, in 2023.
Despite the past drama, Taylor has softened his stance, even referring to Sandoval as his “best friend” alongside Tom Schwartz.
“I love Tom, and I will always love him no matter what he does,” Taylor shared, noting that they’ve been spending more time together recently. “He comes to the bar, sings karaoke. … It was just great to see him.”
Taylor acknowledged their complicated history but emphasized the importance of forgiveness: “People make mistakes in life, but you gotta move on from it. … We all gotta forgive each other at some point.”
Taylor’s comments come a month after Cartwright filed for divorce following Taylor’s bipolar disorder and PTSD diagnosis. The former couple, who wed in 2019 and share a son, Cruz, remain focused on co-parenting.
