Jennifer Love Hewitt Opens Up About Motherhood and Honors Her Children in New Memoir
Jennifer Love Hewitt is eager to share her experiences of motherhood. Recently, the actress from “I Know What You Did Last Summer” highlighted the quirky realities of having children by reposting a humorous quote from the blog 24/7 MOMS on her Instagram Story on April 23.
“You know what’s strange about having kids?” the repost read. “All of a sudden there are rocks in every room in your house, and you don’t even take them back outside. You just leave them there. You just accept that you now have indoor rocks.”
This light-hearted look at parenting came shortly after Jennifer introduced her three children—Autumn James, 10, Atticus James, 8, and Aidan James, 2—publicly for the first time on the cover of her upcoming memoir, “Inheriting Magic: My Journey Through Grief, Joy, Celebration, and Making Every Day Magical.” The 45-year-old actress shared that it was a significant and stressful decision to reveal her children’s faces.
“It was the most stressful decision to show our kids or not show them,” Jennifer told E! News. “But my husband and I felt like we couldn’t really tell our story without knowing who they are and how they have made our lives so full and magical.”
Set for release on December 10, “Inheriting Magic” delves deeper into Jennifer’s perspectives on motherhood and how her children have supported her through the loss of her mother, Patricia Hewitt, in 2012.
“My kids also saved me in grief,” Jennifer disclosed. “They are gifts from my mom and have filled our hearts in such an incredible way.”
She concluded, “This book is for them!”
