Bollywood Fever, March 20: Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo, at 21 years old, has sparked excitement among fans with a sneak peek of her latest music video for the much-loved song “Obsessed.”
The track is a highlight from the soon-to-be-released deluxe edition of her second album, “Guts.” Rodrigo shared a glimpse on Instagram this Wednesday (March 20), revealing a captivating pageant scene filled with contestants donning sashes titled with humorous nods to “his exes,” such as “Miss Thought She Was the One” and “Miss 2 Summers Ago,” with Rodrigo herself wearing a “Miss Right Now” sash.
This unique pageant setup aligns flawlessly with the song’s themes of jealousy and obsession, exemplified by Rodrigo’s lyrics: “I’m so obsessed with your ex/ I know she’s been asleep on my side of your bed/ And I can feel it.” Fans can catch a glimpse of the music video preview ahead of the full release, scheduled for midnight ET on Friday (March 22), coinciding with the launch of the deluxe “Guts” album.
The announcement of “Guts (Spilled),” the extended version of her 2023 album, came as a surprise to fans during Rodrigo’s performance at the United Center in Chicago on Tuesday (March 19). The deluxe edition will introduce five additional tracks, including the newly recorded “So American” and four “secret” songs previously exclusive to various “GUTS” vinyl editions: “Obsessed,” “Scared of My Guitar,” “Stranger,” and “Girl I’ve Always Been.”
