Rajkummar Rao‘s film ‘Srikanth’ has earned Rs 22.10 crore in nine days, maintaining a positive trend at the box office. Following this success, the actor is now gearing up for ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ with Janhvi Kapoor, set to release on May 31.
The Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Srikanth’ has garnered much acclaim and love, reflected in both positive reviews and solid box office numbers. By the end of its first week, the film had earned Rs 17.85 crore. Continuing its momentum, ‘Srikanth’ added Rs 1.5 crore on Friday and saw a significant jump on Saturday, earning Rs 2.75 crore, according to reports from Sacnilk.
Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, ‘Srikanth’ tells the inspiring story of Srikanth Bolla. With its ongoing positive run, the film has managed to earn Rs 22.10 crore in nine days, showing an upward trend that is expected to continue.
While promoting the film, Rajkummar Rao addressed allegations of undergoing cosmetic surgery to enhance his facial features. Speaking to ETimes, he said, “When I was starting out, a lot of people would comment on my looks. So, 8-9 years back, my dermatologist told me that my face was slightly imbalanced. I used a very little filler on my chin to balance it out, and I’m glad I did because I feel much more confident. I look better now than I did 10 years ago, which you can see in my films. After that procedure, I’ve done films like ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana,’ ‘Newton,’ ‘Trapped,’ etc. But plastic surgery, no, I’ve not done any kind of plastic surgery.”
After ‘Srikanth’, Rajkummar Rao will appear in ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi,’ a sports drama alongside Janhvi Kapoor, which is set to hit theaters on May 31.
