Rick Ross faces confrontation and a brawl in Canada after playing Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss track during his set at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver.

Canada, Bollywood Fever: Rick Ross made his stance clear in Kendrick Lamar’s feud against Drake, and it led to a confrontation in Canada this past weekend. During his performance at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver on Sunday (June 30), Ross played Lamar’s Drake diss track “Not Like Us” at the end of his set.

A video from the event shows Ross leaving the stage while the song played, only to be confronted by a group angered by his choice to play the track in Drake’s home country. The confrontation quickly escalated into a physical altercation when one of the men punched Ross in the face, igniting a brawl between the group and Ross’ associates.

The brawl lasted for several minutes, and one of Ross’ associates was left unconscious and had to be carried away.

The tension between Ross and Drake dates back to previous diss tracks. Drake took aim at Ross on “Push Ups,” to which Ross responded on his track “Champagne Moments,” suggesting Drake had a nose job. The feud further escalated with an exchange in direct messages, where Ross advised Drake not to respond to Lamar’s “Euphoria.”

“I know we not friends, but let me give you this advice because you ain’t got nobody around you, you ain’t got no real ns around you,” Ross reportedly told Drake. “Let me put it like that: ain’t no real ns. Stop. Don’t respond. Don’t respond. You ain’t even peep when the intro came on with that Teddy Pendergrass, that was that Black vibe. Don’t do it. Don’t go write an 8-minute verse.”

Ross’ decision to play Lamar’s diss track in Canada clearly struck a nerve with Drake’s supporters, resulting in the violent confrontation at the festival.
