Shocking, Miss Universe finalist Sienna Weir Passed Away
Sienna Weir, a 23-year-old fashion model and finalist in the 2022 Miss Universe pageant, has tragically passed away several days after a horse riding accident. News of her untimely death was confirmed by her representatives and family, as reported by News.au.
The strikingly beautiful blonde was riding her horse at Windsor Polo Grounds in her home country of Australia on April 2 when her horse fell, resulting in fatal injuries. Weir was taken to Westmead Hospital, where she remained on life support for two days before passing away.
As a burgeoning social media influencer, Weir had a significant following, and her final posts on Instagram were filled with heartfelt tributes from her fans and loved ones. One friend shared that Weir was a rising star who had a special ability to light up every room she entered. Another friend expressed how much she would miss Sienna, adding that “Heaven has gained the most beautiful angel today. I’ll miss everything about you [Sienna], I love you.”
Her boyfriend, Tom Bull, also expressed his deep love and grief, stating that “We loved with a love that was more than love,” according to local news sources.
Weir’s modeling agency, Scoop Management, paid tribute to the late model by sharing a touching video of her and a photo of her beaming smile, accompanied by the caption “Forever in our hearts.”
Sienna Weir held a double degree in English literature and psychology from Sydney University, and had previously shared with local media her plans to move to the UK to further her career and spend time with her sister, niece, and nephew, while expanding both her professional and social networks.
As an equestrian enthusiast, Weir often spoke about her love for “cuddle monster” horses and English literature, particularly Gothic poetry, which she felt set her apart from the other 26 contestants competing for the 2022 Miss Universe Australia title.
“I have a deep and unwavering love for show jumping, despite spending most of my life in the city,” she told Gold Coast Magazine in September 2022. “I’ve been riding horses since I was three years old and can’t imagine my life without it. My family isn’t quite sure where this passion came from, but it’s always been a part of me.”
When asked by the reigning Miss Universe Australia, Daria Varlamova, about her essential qualities, Weir responded, “I believe in being open to opportunities, sociability, dedication, being multifaceted, and having integrity.”
Weir, who was affectionately known as “Gremlin” by her friends, added, “It’s important to stand by what you believe in and what you love, but you never know what opportunities are waiting around the corner. Pushing yourself to try new things and fully understand yourself is essential. If I hadn’t done so, I wouldn’t be here.”
