Sydney Sweeney shares her excitement about returning to Euphoria for Season 3, expressing her love for playing Cassie and reuniting with the original cast despite production delays.
Bollywood Fever: Sydney Sweeney is eagerly anticipating her return to the hit HBO series Euphoria.
The actress, best known for her role as Cassie, expressed her excitement this week, sharing how much she looks forward to diving back into the character.
“I’m very excited to jump back into Cassie,” Sweeney told People. “She is definitely one of the most special characters for me, and I love my Euphoria family, so I look forward to it.”
While fans are anxiously awaiting the third season of Euphoria, Sweeney admits that she doesn’t have any details yet. “Honestly, I don’t know anything about it,” she said, but added that she’s thrilled to explore the darker, more chaotic aspects of her character once again. “I love crazy Cassie, so the crazier, the better for me,” she remarked.
Sweeney previously spoke about the challenge of returning to Euphoria after a significant break. The team filmed season two three years ago, and now, with an additional time jump, Sweeney is navigating a new process as she prepares for the upcoming season.
“We did have a long time between season one and season two, but especially now with the time jump, it’s a new process for me,” she explained. “I’m kind of just learning as I go and being open for whatever’s to come. But I’m also really excited. I love Cassie. She is always such a thrilling character to play, so I’m really looking forward to what’s gonna happen in her life.”
Despite the uncertainties, Sweeney expressed her enthusiasm about reuniting with her co-stars, including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Hunter Schafer.
“They were the crew and the cast that were there at the beginning of my career,” Sweeney said. “We all came up from different places but came together and were navigating so much at the same time, so it’s really nice having that core group. They’re experiencing a similarity to what I’m going through. It’s nice to have that community.”
Sweeney and the rest of the cast have remained tight-lipped about what’s in store for Euphoria season three.
The Madame Web star even joked in March that discussing the show felt “as scary as talking about Marvel.”
Earlier this year, HBO announced that filming for the much-anticipated third season had been delayed indefinitely, allowing the cast to explore other opportunities.
However, in July, the network confirmed that production is set to begin early next year, bringing fans one step closer to the return of Euphoria.
