Apex Legends content creator and Twitch streamer, Thordan Smash, finds himself facing serious legal trouble as he has been charged with 2nd-degree assault and criminal mischief following an unexpected on-stream arrest in December.

The abrupt end to Thordan Smash’s Twitch stream on December 21 left viewers puzzled as an officer from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office entered the scene. Initial speculation suggested a potential swatting incident, but subsequent investigation revealed that Thordan Smash, whose real name is Jordan, was apprehended on a felony arrest warrant.

Arrest records obtained by Dexerto shed light on the charges, indicating that Thordan Smash is facing accusations of second-degree assault involving strangulation and criminal mischief with property damage valued between $300 and $1000.

Thordan Smash spent Christmas Day behind bars before being released on bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for January 23 at the Arapahoe County Justice Center in Colorado.

In the state of Colorado, 2nd-degree assault is classified as a class 4 felony, characterized as a violent offense with mandatory sentencing ranging from five to 16 years in prison.

Additionally, the YouTuber is grappling with a class 2 misdemeanor charge for Criminal Mischief, specifically for causing damage to real or personal property in the range of $300 to $1000.

Thordan Smash, known for his Apex Legends content and boasting a subscriber count of over 220,000 on his YouTube channel, has also been involved in the esports scene, having held managerial positions at GLYTCH Energy and Oxygen Esports. However, he parted ways with Oxygen Esports in October 2023.

Despite his legal woes, Thordan Smash resumed his online activities on Christmas Day, returning to both YouTube and Twitch without publicly addressing the arrest at the time of this writing. The unfolding situation has left fans and followers eagerly awaiting any statement or clarification from the embattled content creator.
