Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson, YouTube’s most-subscribed independent creator, recently experimented with posting a full-length video on Twitter/X to compare ad revenue with YouTube. The results were astonishing, as MrBeast raked in a remarkable $263,655 within a week of posting.
Elon Musk‘s recent changes to Twitter/X, including the option for users to monetize their posts, prompted MrBeast to explore the platform’s potential. While celebrating his success, MrBeast emphasized that his experience may not be typical for other creators, dubbing his own achievements a “facade.”
Despite the eye-popping earnings, MrBeast clarified that his video’s popularity likely attracted advertisers, contributing to the higher revenue per view. To share his success with fans, MrBeast decided to give away $25,000 to ten people, using the entire amount he earned from the viral video.
The news comes amidst allegations that MrBeast’s video was promoted as an “undisclosed ad,” with users reporting frequent appearances on their timelines. Despite the unique circumstances, MrBeast’s generosity and transparency remain central to his online presence.
