Travis Kelce roots for Taylor Swift, who leads the 2024 MTV VMAs with 10 nominations, including Video and Song of the Year. Fans anticipate Swift’s big night at the awards show.
Bollywood Fever: Taylor Swift is leading the pack with 10 nominations at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, and her biggest cheerleader, boyfriend Travis Kelce, is hoping she wins big.
During the Wednesday, September 11, episode of his “New Heights” podcast with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis, 34, expressed his excitement for the event.
“Hopefully, Taylor can walk away with a few. She’s nominated for about 10 of those things tonight,” Travis said. “Hopefully, she can walk away with some Moonmen. Those are always one of the cooler trophies.”
Jason, 36, joined in the cheer, saying, “Let’s go, Tay! C’mon, Tay!” Travis added, “Wishing everybody the best, though,” but Jason made it clear that his loyalty lies with Swift. “Unless you’re up against Tay, then I hope you lose,” he teased.
Swift’s 10 VMAs nominations include nods for “Fortnight,” her collaboration with Post Malone from The Tortured Poets Department.
The song is up for major categories like Video of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Collaboration, as well as Best Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Visual Effects, and Art Direction. She is also in the running for Artist of the Year and Best Pop.
At last year’s VMAs, Swift made history with her fourth Video of the Year win for “Anti-Hero.” She thanked her fans, remarking on the significance of the fan-voted award: “The fact that this is a fan-voted award means so much to me.”
Fans are eagerly awaiting whether Swift will bring Travis as her date to the VMAs, following her recent support of him at the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener. The couple, who began dating in the summer of 2023, have been spotted enjoying romantic dinners and attending events together, including the US Open men’s singles final and a wedding at Electric Lady Studios.
The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards will air on Wednesday, September 11, at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
