In February, the nation saw 79,907 vehicles manufactured, up from 69,707 in the prior year, with the surge primarily fueled by a 58% rise in domestic demand, reaching 20,658 units.

He urged for continued support from all political factions, especially in a year anticipated to see elections.

To date in 2024, the UK’s car production has increased by 17.8% to 162,904 units, marking the strongest start to a year since 2021, as per SMMT’s additional data.
