Zendaya Shines in Custom Tennis Ball Gown at “Challengers” Afterparty

Zendaya dazzled at the Los Angeles afterparty for her new movie “Challengers” with a striking neon look, following her appearance at the film’s premiere. On the evening of April 16, the 27-year-old actress transformed her style for the event held at Funke in Beverly Hills.

Echoing her role as tennis star Tashi in “Challengers,” Zendaya embraced a sporty yet glamorous aesthetic by wearing a custom tennis ball-themed gown. The floor-length halter dress, crafted by designer Celia Kritharioti, featured a bold plunging neckline and a thigh-high split, accented with a tennis ball detail at the base of the V-neck.

Zendaya completed her ensemble with diamond earrings and her hair elegantly styled in a chic bun. Her stylist, Law Roach, shared a video on Instagram Stories showing Zendaya twirling gracefully in the gown, captioned, “@celiakritharioti custom Tennis ball dress,” highlighting her radiant presence at the afterparty.

This followed her appearance at the film’s premiere, where she wore a Vera Wang gown that blended black lace and satin corset bodice with a baby pink satin ballgown skirt, featuring black tulle at the center slit. This marked a stylish departure from the ‘tenniscore’ themed outfits Zendaya has been showcasing throughout the “Challengers” press tour.

Earlier in the month, at the UK premiere on April 10, Zendaya had opted for a white sequin Thom Browne halter dress adorned with tennis rackets, and in Sydney on March 26, she chose a green gown featuring a graffiti-like tennis graphic.

The Los Angeles premiere of “Challengers” also saw numerous celebrities in attendance, including Tina Knowles, Cynthia Enviro, and tennis legend Venus Williams, all making their way down the red carpet.
