Maxx Crosby Addresses Sideline Incident with Raiders Coach After Loss to Steelers

Maxx Crosby downplays sideline incident with Raiders coach Mike Caldwell during the 32-13 loss to the Steelers, calling it a “love push.” Learn more about Crosby’s performance and the Raiders’ season.

BollywoodFever: Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders found themselves on the wrong end of a tough 32-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, dropping the Raiders to a 2-4 record. Crosby played a key role in limiting Steelers quarterback Justin Fields to just 204 total yards, but Pittsburgh’s rushing attack, led by Najee Harris and Fields, overwhelmed the Raiders.

The Pro Bowl edge rusher, who recorded three tackles (two for loss), three quarterback hits, and 0.5 sacks, made headlines during the game for a different reason. Cameras caught Crosby shoving Raiders linebackers coach and run game coordinator Mike Caldwell on the sideline as the team headed toward the bench. The shove sent the coach stumbling backward.

After the game, Crosby addressed the incident on social media, downplaying it as a “love push.” He tweeted, “Mike Caldwell is my guy. One of the best people in the business. That’s a love push, stop reaching. #RN4L,” to his 186,000 followers on X.

Caldwell, a former NFL linebacker, joined Antonio Pierce’s coaching staff this past offseason after two years as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive coordinator.

Now at 2-4, the Raiders will head to SoFi Stadium for Week 7 to face the Los Angeles Rams, followed by a crucial divisional game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8. Despite the team’s struggles, Crosby continues to shine, already tallying 5.5 sacks through six games, pacing close to his career-high 14.5 sacks from last season.
