Bollywood Fever: Sabrina Carpenter has given fans a sneak peek of her upcoming music video for the song “Taste,” which features Wednesday star Jenna Ortega

The Please Please Please singer took to social media to share a 16-second teaser, building anticipation for the video’s release on Friday.

In the brief preview, Carpenter is seen grabbing a knife from a bed full of weapons before entering a house.

She ascends the stairs and finds Ortega in the shower with a man. In a tense moment, Carpenter opens the shower curtain and charges at Ortega, who looks terrified.

“Taste” is the third single from Carpenter’s sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet, which is set to release on August 23.

Carpenter is credited as a songwriter on “Taste” alongside Julia Michaels and Amy Allen, with John Ryan and Ian Kirkpatrick producing the track.

The new single follows the success of previous releases like “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” The Short n’ Sweet tracklist also includes songs such as “Good Graces,” “Sharpest Tools,” “Coincidence,” “Bed Chem,” “Dumb & Poetic,” “Slim Pickins,” “Juno,” “Lie to Girls,” and “Don’t Smile.

In an interview with Paper magazine, Carpenter discussed her approach to songwriting, particularly when it comes to addressing taboo topics. She shared, “I will write any song. It doesn’t mean I’ll put it out, but I’ll write it. I think the series of unfortunate events I’ve encountered in relationships are no secret to people who know me or think they know me.”

Carpenter’s lyrics for “Taste” include provocative lines like, “I’ve been known to share” and “You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissing you,” further hinting at the bold themes explored in the upcoming video.
