The Aptos Foundation revealed a collaboration with Jambo Technology, a leading web3 developer targeting African markets, on Thursday.

The partnership seeks to significantly enhance Web3 accessibility and education in regions poised to benefit the most.

By combining Aptos’s cutting-edge blockchain technology with Jambo’s dedication to digital inclusion, the collaboration aims to empower users in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

Central to this collaboration is the introduction of the JamboPhone, priced at $99, tailored to users in the aforementioned regions. 

Available in over 40 countries, the device integrates the Aptos network through pre-installed apps like the Aptos-compatible wallet, Petra. 

Additionally, the Jambo App, a default application on the phone, is designed to educate users on leveraging web3 markets, including DeFi and gaming.

Solana’s Saga, an Android-based smartphone, initially debuted at $1,000 but later dropped to $599. Currently, it is accepting pre-orders for its second smartphone line priced at $500.
