Aspyn Ovard navigates the joy of welcoming a new baby and the challenge of filing for divorce from Parker Ferris, all within a single transformative day.
YouTube influencer Aspyn Ovard faced a whirlwind of emotions as she both became a mother again and initiated divorce proceedings in a single day.
“Sweet baby was ready to be born I guess 👶🏼,” Ovard, aged 27, shared on TikTok last Monday, April 1, announcing the birth of her and soon-to-be ex-husband Parker Ferris’ third child.
In a TikTok post, Ovard, donning a hospital gown at 34 weeks pregnant, disclosed that her daughter was not yet prepared to enter the world.
The scene then transitioned to a heartwarming moment of her holding her newborn daughter, accompanied by the song “End of Beginning” by Djo.
The reassuring words, “Just trust me you’ll be fine,” were displayed as Ovard tenderly kissed her baby.
Additionally, Ovard posted a TikTok featuring Ferris, 28, in the hospital, humorously gesturing towards her stomach and lip-syncing “my friend’s in there,” while still wearing his wedding ring.
Despite their solidarity in the delivery room, it was reported that Ovard filed for divorce from Ferris that same Monday.
The filing was made at a courthouse in Salt Lake City, Utah, with details emerging in documents People magazine accessed the following day, Tuesday, April 2.
The couple, who had been married for over eight years after their wedding in Utah in October 2015, have not commented on their separation.
They are parents to daughters Cove, aged 4, and Lola, aged 2, before welcoming their latest addition.
The duo had recently celebrated their expanding family with a babymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in March. Ovard shared memories of the trip on Instagram, showcasing moments of affection and happiness with Ferris.
Reflecting on the vacation, Ferris posted a video on Instagram, capturing a serene sunset beach moment with Ovard.
As of Tuesday, Ferris had not mentioned their newborn’s arrival on Instagram, and the baby’s name remains private.
Ovard, on the other hand, has been open about her post-birth recovery.
She expressed to her TikTok audience her challenge in grasping the current situation, mentioning her daughter’s NICU stay but reassuring that she is doing well despite being premature.
She also shared a glimpse into her recovery diet, indulging in pancakes with peanut butter and strawberries.
