Carl Froch, former Boxing World Champion and recent inductee into the 2023 International Boxing Hall of Fame, will oversee the training of Kebbell and LaBeouf, with sessions set to commence in New York next week. The filmmakers intend to document their journey as they prepare for their roles in the film.

Principal photography for “Salvable” is scheduled to commence in April.

The film will center on Sal “The Bull,” a former boxer on the cusp of 40, grappling with more than just his adversaries in the ring.

With a life weighed down by regrets and fading aspirations, Sal’s shot at redemption presents itself in the form of underground boxing, facilitated by the unexpected return of his old friend, Vince.

Sal is confronted with the ultimate dilemma: pursue this opportunity for a comeback or prioritize his relationship with his daughter, Molly.

This project marks the feature film debut of UK-based music video directing duo Franklin & Marchetta (comprising Björn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta).

Producers Jamie Gamache and Connor O’Hara of Lowkey Films (known for “Kindling”), along with Julien Loeffler and James Kermack of Featuristic Films (“Knuckledust”), are behind the production. Casting was overseen by Aisling Knight of CBA Casting.

LaBeouf, currently involved in Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis,” and Kebbell, known for his roles in the Apple series “For All Mankind” and “Servant,” will lead the cast alongside Cosmo, who is currently filming the BBC drama “Nightsleeper.

Additionally, Metro will be presenting the crime-thriller “Sweet Dreams” at EFM, starring Aimee Lou Wood, Nick Frost, and Paapa Essiedu.
