Two Arrested, Over 500 Kilograms of Meth Seized in Major Georgia Drug Bust

Authorities in Georgia seized over 500 kilograms of methamphetamine and shut down a home lab in Cobb County, arresting two suspects linked to a larger drug operation.

BollywoodFever: Two suspects were arrested, and a massive methamphetamine lab was dismantled in Georgia after a traffic stop led authorities to uncover a home conversion lab. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Atlanta Division confirmed that over 500 kilograms of meth were seized in the bust.

The operation began Monday when Georgia State Patrol pulled over Anthony Revolorio for driving while using a cellphone. A search of his vehicle revealed 10 kilograms of meth, which led investigators to a house on Pair Road in Cobb County. Upon arrival, authorities were overwhelmed by the chemical odor emanating from the residence, confirming their suspicions of a meth lab inside.

A second suspect, Raul Ernesto, was also arrested in connection to the bust. Both suspects are immigrants from Guatemala residing in the country illegally, according to law enforcement.

The DEA emphasized the dangers of the chemicals found at the home, stating they were “highly volatile and may ignite or explode if improperly stored or mixed.” The house was located near several schools, including nine elementary, seven middle, and nine high schools.

DEA Atlanta Division Special Agent in Charge Robert Murphy noted that Atlanta has become a hub for illegal drug manufacturing, with several Mexican cartels operating in the metro area. Murphy assured the public that federal authorities are working to shut down these operations.
