GloRilla was recently arrested on charges including driving under the influence (DUI) in Gwinnett County, Georgia, just outside Atlanta. On Wednesday (April 17), she was taken into custody early Tuesday morning. She faced multiple charges, including having an open alcoholic beverage container in her vehicle and another traffic-related charge. TMZ noted that she was booked at 6:12 a.m. and later released on bond a few hours afterward.
Channel 2 Action News, a local Atlanta news outlet, reported that the specific traffic violation GloRilla was cited for was “failure to obey a traffic control device.” She was released on a $1,956 bond.
The incident occurred in Suwanee, GA, a suburb approximately 30 minutes from Atlanta, and her mugshot was released by the Suwanee Police Department. Channel 2 Action News confirmed the arrest details and provided a different mugshot.
Details of GloRilla’s DUI Arrest
According to a police report, the arrest occurred after police stopped a vehicle for making an illegal U-turn at a red light around 4 a.m. GloRilla, who admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the night, told officers she felt capable of driving. However, during a field sobriety test, police observed her performance as “shaky,” particularly with maintaining balance. The report further stated that she failed all the DUI tests, which included tracking the movement of an object with her eyes, walking in a straight line, turning, and standing on one leg.
GloRilla also declined to take a breathalyzer test. Additionally, during the arrest, she experienced a wardrobe malfunction, which led to an exposure incident.
