This was first film for Ajay Devgan where he had to lose his trademark hair and settle for a army cut hairstyle.

Ajay Devgn directed parts of the film when the director ‘Tinu Anand’ was off sick.

Abhishek Bachchan was an uncredited assistant on the production.

The movie released a week later than intended because the Indian Army raised objections to Amitabh Bachchan’s beard in the movie. To resolve the issue, Amitabh Bachchan mentions the Army’s policy on beards in the opening credits of the movie.
