Meghan Markle’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., has created controversy with a provocative new YouTube video in which he impersonates the Duchess, accusing her of dishonesty about her pregnancies.

In the 87-minute clip released on Wednesday, the 57-year-old sports a wig and a tiara and feigns a pregnancy by placing a pillow under his shirt. “My name’s Me-again Swamp-donkey Crotch,” Thomas states in what viewers are calling a distasteful portrayal. “I was just showing off the new bump I bought used on eBay out of Montecito.”

Jennie Bond, a royal commentator, expressed her disapproval to the Daily Mail on Sunday, describing the familial mockery as “the ultimate betrayal for Meghan.”

She also labeled the imitation as “grotesque.”

Despite a decade-long period of non-communication with Meghan, Thomas seems eager to exploit his royal connection. “If you don’t like it, don’t watch, right? I’m gonna be riding those coattails, baby,” he admits unabashedly in the video. He even suggests that without Meghan’s fame, his prospects would be uncertain: “Oh, yeah, if it wasn’t for Meghan Markle I don’t know what I’d be doing.”

Thomas has hinted at launching a merchandise line featuring glasses, mugs, and T-shirts, as reported by The Mirror.

Currently a window fitter residing in Grants Pass, Oregon, Thomas is one of Meghan’s two half-siblings. Her other half-sister, Samantha Markle, has also leveraged her royal connection in the past, previously speaking out critically about Meghan.

Last month, Samantha faced a setback in a defamation lawsuit against Meghan, with the court not finding sufficient grounds for the allegations.

Damian Collins, British digital economy minister, suggested to the Daily Mail that the video might verge on harassment, emphasizing that “the major social media companies must do more to combat harmful content on their platforms, including campaigns of harassment and intimidation.”

Meghan, however, seems to be disregarding the antagonistic gestures of her half-brother.
