Tragic Accident at Radford Studio Center: Crew Member Falls to His Death While Preparing for Marvel Show
A crew member tragically fell to his death at the renowned Radford Studio Center in Studio City, CA, just outside central Los Angeles, while working on preparations for a show associated with Marvel. According to reports from TMZ, law enforcement sources confirm that first responders were called to sound stage 3 on the lot, where they discovered a middle-aged man who had fallen from the rafters area early in the morning. Despite paramedics’ efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deadline reported that the incident occurred during preparations for Marvel’s upcoming “Wonder Man” TV show, scheduled to start production next month. Marvel expressed their condolences, stating, “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident.”
The show, featuring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and developed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is set to debut on Disney+. The deceased crew member was identified as a rigger, responsible for setting up lights on set. While no foul play is suspected in the ongoing police investigation, the incident has triggered a federal probe by OSHA. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed at this time.
