Fellow Twitch broadcaster ‘Lalem’ addressed the situation on X (previously known as Twitter), confirming the kidnapping after trying to keep it under wraps for two weeks. Lalem’s message expressed hope for Addison’s prompt release and cautioned against contacting Addison directly for safety considerations.

Additionally, Addison’s editor, ‘masih,’ shared what is purported to be the last footage of Addison filmed in Haiti, where Addison voiced his concerns about the local gang activity, emphasizing the risk involved: “All it takes is one stupid gang member holding an AK47 for one thing to go wrong.”

Prior to his trip, Addison had ominously posted on X, acknowledging the peril of his journey with a message that conveyed his resolve and faith.

Efforts are currently underway by Addison’s family to work with U.S. authorities in securing his safe return.
