Less than 24 hours after their first encounter at a sandwich shop called Capriotti’s, Ed proposed using a paperclip as a makeshift ring during dinner.
Despite the spontaneous nature of the proposal, sources confirm to TMZ that the engagement is very real. Ed himself reportedly quipped, “It was love at first bite.” Though details about the wedding remain unclear, Raemond appeared in one of Ed’s videos from his meet-and-greet, which showed her affectionately posing with him and even sharing a kiss on the cheek.
Raemond shared her excitement through an Instagram story, captioning one photo, “You’re even better in person,” with a heart emoji. However, she has since deleted her Instagram account.
Ed’s impromptu proposal shocked those at the dinner party, but insiders say the couple is serious. This engagement follows Ed’s past relationship with Liz Woods, which involved 15 breakups before their final split during Season 8 of 90 Day: The Single Life.
Raemond will be Ed’s second wife. He was previously married to Sandra Heckman from 1990 to 1992, and they share a daughter, Tiffany. Ed has described his infidelity during his first marriage as a “stupid mistake.”
