Graphic Video Surfaces Allegedly Depicting Sexual Activity in Senate Hearing Room
On Friday, explicit video footage emerged, purportedly revealing two men involved in sexual activity on the dais of a Senate hearing room. The Daily Caller, which obtained the explicit material, reported that a congressional staffer filmed the footage inside the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing room located in the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
Despite reaching out to representatives for Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Jack Reed (D-RI) and ranking member Roger Wicker (R-MS), as well as spokespeople for Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the Washington Examiner received no response to their request for comment on the explicit content. The authenticity of the videos, not independently verified by the Washington Examiner, raises uncertainty about whether an investigation will be initiated.
Inquiries directed to the United States Capitol Police regarding a potential investigation also went unanswered.
The release of the explicit footage coincided with a report from the Spectator, alleging that a male staffer in the office of Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) had been creating pornographic videos within the U.S. Capitol. Though the staffer remained unnamed, the report cited one of the individual’s public social media accounts, allegedly featuring sexually explicit content.
Despite the report, a spokesperson for Cardin, who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
