In an interview with ET, 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey shared how Taylor Swift‘s NFL appearances have unexpectedly brought him closer to his 9-year-old daughter, Brooklyn, fostering her interest in football.

Lachey revealed that his daughter, who previously showed no interest in watching football with him, now eagerly asks if Swift has made an appearance during games. 

He expressed his delight at this newfound shared interest, emphasizing how Swift’s presence has enhanced the football-watching experience for both him and his daughter.

Acknowledging Swift’s widespread popularity, Lachey expressed gratitude for the positive impact she has had on football and the NFL this year. 

He also noted Swift’s connection to tight end Travis Kelce, whose team, the Kansas City Chiefs, secured their third Super Bowl victory in five years. 

Swift’s visible support for Kelce and her frequent presence at games added an extra layer of excitement to the season, further fueling interest in football among fans.

While it’s unclear to what extent Swift’s influence contributed to increased viewership, CBS Sports reported record-breaking numbers for Super Bowl LVIII, making it the most-watched telecast in history across platforms. 

This success underscores the significant cultural impact of Swift’s involvement in the football world.
