Putin Initiates Search for Topless Ukrainian Model
Putin Orders Search for Ukrainian Model Filmed Topless in Red Square
Russian President Vladimir Putin has initiated an unusual manhunt for a Ukrainian model who was captured on video posing topless in Red Square, Moscow.
The footage, featuring Lolita Bogdanova, 24, without a shirt at the iconic site and popular tourist destination, has emerged amidst Putin’s apparent crackdown on perceived indecency.
While Bogdanova claims the video was uploaded in 2021 prior to the conflict, local reports now indicate that she has been placed on the Kremlin’s international wanted list.
The Russian Interior Ministry’s decision to pursue her was disclosed by loyalist media outlet Readovka.
At the time of the incident, there was significant controversy as the model’s stunt occurred in front of the revered St. Basil’s Cathedral, a symbol of Russia’s heritage.
Although Lolita apologized for any offense caused to religious believers, she clarified that the footage was filmed several years earlier and uploaded by another individual.
While she was not immediately detained, she did agree not to leave Russia pending a comprehensive investigation, following pressure from prominent church figures for her to show remorse.
It is now reported that the model has left the country, prompting her inclusion on the wanted list as Russia embarks on an unprecedented campaign to uphold traditional values, a shift not previously observed during Putin’s lengthy tenure.
The Ministry has not provided a specific reason for pursuing the model, stating only that she is wanted “under a criminal article,” without specifying the exact accusation.
