Sarah Harding, a beloved member of Girls Aloud, succumbed to breast cancer at the age of 39 in September 2021. As the UK’s top-selling girl group of the 21st Century, Girls Aloud boasts 4.3 million singles and four million albums sold. Their impressive track record includes 21 UK top 10 singles from 2002-2012, featuring four number ones.

Cheryl Tweedy expressed, “The anniversary seemed like an obvious thing that we would celebrate. But when Sarah fell ill, all priorities changed. She passed away a year before the anniversary, and it just didn’t feel right; it felt too soon. It’s the right time to celebrate Sarah, the band, and the fact that we can still do this 21 years later. That’s a big honor in lots of ways.”
