Discover the heartfelt journey of Girls Aloud as they announce a UK and Ireland tour in tribute to the late Sarah Harding.
Following the heartbreaking loss of Sarah Harding to cancer in 2021, Girls Aloud is set to embark on a poignant UK and Ireland tour next year.
Cheryl Tweedy, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, and Nadine Coyle revealed this tribute announcement on their 21st anniversary. The tour, dedicated to celebrating their greatest hits, won’t include new music.
Sarah Harding, a beloved member of Girls Aloud, succumbed to breast cancer at the age of 39 in September 2021. As the UK’s top-selling girl group of the 21st Century, Girls Aloud boasts 4.3 million singles and four million albums sold. Their impressive track record includes 21 UK top 10 singles from 2002-2012, featuring four number ones.
Cheryl Tweedy expressed, “The anniversary seemed like an obvious thing that we would celebrate. But when Sarah fell ill, all priorities changed. She passed away a year before the anniversary, and it just didn’t feel right; it felt too soon. It’s the right time to celebrate Sarah, the band, and the fact that we can still do this 21 years later. That’s a big honor in lots of ways.”
